Kurt Stenberg
Kurt was a career first responder diagnosed with PTSD in 2017. Forced to find a new path that balanced mental health needs as well as provide a flexible schedule, Kurt became an arborist and an entrepreneur. Cochrane Tree Care Ltd grossed over $100 thousand in its first year with help from Kurt’s extremely supportive wife. Tamara Ard is the co-owner of My Amazing Maid, in Columbus, Georgia. Tamara and her husband and business partner, Royce Ard, are currently traveling the country as Nomad Entrepreneurs, using Jobber and other cloud based software systems to operate and manage their business remotely. My Amazing Maid is Tamara’s second home service business, her first being a handyman business she ran from 2006 until selling it in 2018. She founded My Amazing Maid in 2013, and their team of cleaners and team leads can reach nearly 20 people in size—a large workforce to maintain in an industry known for hard-to-find employees and high turnover. Tamara and Royce have developed career tracks and employee engagement programs to attract and retain team members which they’ll be speaking about in their workshop. Tamara has over 30 years of experience in training and development, as well as non-profit management. In addition to her Masters in Social Work, Tamara has received international certifications in Operations Management and Performance Assessment from Cities and Guilds, London England.
